Prime Minister Mark Carney called on middle powers to band together in a moving speech at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland yesterday that earned him high praise and a rare standing ovation.
As President Donald Trump prepares to bring his case for U.S. control of Greenland to the annual international forum today, the prime minister warned leaders assembled there that giving in to coercion and economic threats will not protect them.
No word yet on what Trump thought of Carney’s speech.
