The Bayfield Lions Club is giving back to the community as part of Bayfield’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Lions Club President Karen Scott says the deadline to apply for special community grants has been extended to midnight on January 31. The grants are meant to support projects that celebrate Bayfield’s history, arts, culture, and strong community spirit.
The Lions Club has set aside a total of 10,000 dollars, with grants of up to 1,000 dollars available for each project. Local groups and organizations are encouraged to apply.
Groups must complete a Project Proposal Form and submit it by email to bayfieldlions@gmail.com before the deadline. Applicants will be notified if they are approved between February 11 and February 13, and funding will be provided by February 28.
The Bayfield Lions Club says these grants are a way to bring people together and help make Bayfield’s 150th anniversary a memorable year for the whole community.
