Family Day is coming up on Monday, February 16th, and residents are reminded that many businesses and services will be closed for the holiday. Monday is set to bring a day of sun and cloud, with a high of 5°C.
In Exeter, Hansen’s Independent Grocer will be closed for the day. However, Foodland in Exeter will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In Grand Bend, Sobey’s plans to operate under regular hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Shoppers are encouraged to check with individual stores to confirm their hours.
Most government offices, banks, libraries, and municipal buildings will be closed. LCBO and Beer Store locations will also be closed for the holiday. Some federal services, including passport offices and Canada Post, are expected to remain open.
Emergency departments at all four local hospital sites will stay open to provide urgent medical care. Some outpatient clinics may be closed, but emergency services will continue to operate.
