Families in Goderich are invited to celebrate Family Day at the Huron County Museum with a free day of fun and activities.
The museum will host its annual Family Day Open House on Monday, February 16th. This year’s theme focuses on old-time television, radio, and news.
Visitors can drop in throughout the day to take part in a variety of activities. There will be a sound effects station where guests can create their own sounds to match short animated clips. Families can also learn about oral history and try a fun interview activity together. TV and radio-themed crafts, games and toys in the lounge, a photo booth, and cider will also be available.
Special events will take place in the museum theatre at set times. “The Goonies” will be shown at 10:30 a.m. Drop-in karaoke will run from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and again from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A family game show called “How Well Do You Know Your Family” will take place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The event is free to attend. The Huron County Museum is located at 110 North Street in Goderich. For more information, residents can call 519-524-2686 or email museum@huroncounty.ca
