The Exeter Hawks are getting another chance to compete for the Schmaltz Cup after a strong weekend on the ice.
The team played three games in four days and earned three shutout wins. The Hawks did not allow a single goal against Lucan, Aylmer and Petrolia, showing strong defense and steady goaltending throughout the weekend.
With those three victories, Exeter has secured first place in the West Yeck Division. The team is now looking ahead to the playoffs and hopes to make a deep run this season. Last year, the Hawks came close to winning it all but fell short in Game 6 of the final against Petrolia.
The playoff schedule has not yet been announced.
