The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is offering free workshops for young people who want to run for municipal council in the October 2026 election. The sessions are led by three current municipal leaders and will provide advice and tips on becoming a candidate and running a campaign. They are designed to help build knowledge and confidence for anyone interested in local politics.
Workshops will be held on February 18th, March 11th, and April 15th, all from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants must register with AMO to receive the meeting link. This is a great chance for youth to learn about local government and get ready to make a difference in their communities.
