A Zorra Township man has been charged by the Huron County OPP in connection with an ongoing child luring investigation that began in 2025.
Police started the investigation in December 2025 after a report that someone claiming to be 17 years old was communicating with a 14-year-old on social media. The investigation revealed that the 14-year-old victim had been sexually assaulted by the suspect, who was actually 22 years old.
A 22-year-old of Zorra Township, has now been arrested and is facing seven charges under the Criminal Code. These include two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16, two counts of sexual interference, luring a person under 18 and under 16 using telecommunication, and invitation to sexual touching of a person under 16.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and believe there may be other incidents involving the accused.
The suspect reportedly used the online username “farmboy03.”
