It’s Crabby Joes Game Day, the Exeter Hawks face off against Lucan tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Rec Centre, as they begin their first-round playoff series this weekend, chasing a deep run toward the Schmaltz Cup.
This past weekend, the team played three games in four days and earned three shutout wins. The Hawks did not allow a single goal against Lucan, Aylmer and Petrolia, showing strong defense and steady goaltending throughout the weekend.
With those three victories, Exeter secured first place in the West Yeck Division. The team is now looking ahead to the playoffs and hopes to make a deep run this season. Last year, the Hawks came close to winning it all but fell short in Game 6 of the final against Petrolia
The series kicks off tonight then returns to Exeter for Game 3 on Sunday, February 22nd at 7:30 p.m., giving fans another chance to cheer on the team on home ice. The Hawks will be on the road in Lucan tomorrow.
The Hawks enter the playoffs with strong momentum and will look to carry that energy into the opening round.
Go tonight and cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter
