Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Advisory for blowing snow in Exeter, Goderich, Bluewater and Southern Huron County.
The advisory is rated as a moderate impact, with high confidence in the forecast.
Snow and blowing snow are expected to begin early this evening and continue into Wednesday. Forecasters say an Alberta Clipper system will move through the area tonight, bringing 5 to 10 centimetres of snow. More snow is possible on Wednesday.
Poor visibility is expected in areas of heavy snow and blowing snow. Conditions may improve somewhat overnight as the main system moves out. However, weather is expected to worsen again Wednesday afternoon, with the possibility of snow squalls and more blowing snow.
Travel will likely be dangerous at times, with near-zero visibility possible. Road closures may occur. Residents are encouraged to delay non-essential travel until conditions improve.
