ONE CARE Home and Community Support Services is warning the public about people pretending to represent the organization and asking for money.
In a public advisory, ONE CARE said it has received reports of individuals going door-to-door and asking for donations. The people claim the money is for ONE CARE’s Meals on Wheels program.
The organization says these claims are false. ONE CARE does not collect donations by going door-to-door.
Residents are being urged to stay alert. Anyone who has been approached by someone claiming to represent ONE CARE in this way is asked to contact their local police service.
