Communities across Huron County are getting ready for the Coldest Night of the Year Walk tomorrow, including Exeter, Wingham, and Goderich.
In Exeter, the walk will raise money for United Way Perth-Huron’s Southern Huron Connection Centre and the Huron Homelessness Initiative. The local goal is $65,000, and 17 registered teams have already raised over $36,000.
Participants will meet at Exeter Christian Reformed Church, with check-in at 4 p.m., opening remarks, and a choice of a 2 km or 5 km walk starting at 5 p.m. A light meal will follow the walk.
Wingham walkers are fundraising for the Northern Huron Connection Centre, while Goderich participants are supporting the Huron Homelessness Initiative. So far, 47 teams in Goderich have raised more than $121,000, and 15 teams in Wingham have raised over $20,000.
There’s still time to take part or donate. Visit cnoy.org to register or support your favourite team or walker.
