The Municipality of South Huron says the reduced load limit period will start on March 1 and usually runs until April 30, though dates may change depending on weather and road conditions.
Heavy vehicles can damage roads in early spring as the frost leaves the ground, so these limits help protect local roads.
All roads in South Huron are subject to the restrictions during this period, except for Main Street in Exeter between Walper Street and Huron Motor Products.
