Playoff hockey excitement continues across the region as both the Exeter Hawks and the North Middlesex Stars move on to the second round of their leagues.
The Exeter Hawks advanced after a strong first-round series against Lucan, completing a clean sweep to secure their spot in the next round. The Hawks will now face the Mount Brydges Bulldogs in what is expected to be a competitive matchup.
Fans will have several chances to cheer on the Hawks at home, with games scheduled for March 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter. The team will also travel to Mount Brydges for games on March 7th, 13th, and 16th. The Hawks’ strong start to the playoffs has created plenty of excitement in the community as supporters look forward to the team’s continued push toward a championship.
Meanwhile, the North Middlesex Stars are also advancing after winning their first-round playoff series against Port Stanley in six games. The victory sends the Stars into the next round where they will face the second-place Thamesford Trojans.
Thamesford will have home-ice advantage in the series, hosting games on March 6th and 13th, with additional games scheduled for March 15th and 19th if necessary. The Stars will host games at the HMS Insurance Centre on March 8th and 14th, with another game on March 17th if the series requires it.
With both teams continuing their playoff runs, hockey fans across the area can expect plenty of exciting action in the weeks ahead.
