The Lambton Heritage Museum is inviting the community to capture the beauty of Lake Huron sunsets in a new photo contest.
Dana Thorne, Curator Supervisor at the Lambton Heritage Museum, says the contest is part of an upcoming exhibit.
Thorne says Lake Huron sunsets are especially beautiful in Lambton County.
Photos must be submitted online at lambtonmuseums.ca/sunset by March 8th. The exhibition will open on May 13th.
Prizes will be awarded to one grand prize winner and two runners-up. The grand prize winner will receive a $50 Tourism Sarnia-Lambton gift certificate, while two runners-up will each receive a $25 gift certificate. Up to 10 additional photos will also be featured in the exhibit. After the exhibition closes, all featured photographers will receive a framed copy of their photo.
The contest is open to all ages and skill levels. Photographers can submit one photo each.
Thorne says the response has already been strong, with more than 25 submissions received shortly after the contest was announced.
She adds that the museum is proud to celebrate the natural beauty of Lambton County and hopes the contest will inspire even more people to take part.
