The Ipperwash Maple Syrup Festival is returning this spring with a weekend full of family fun, great food, and sweet treats.
The festival will take place on March 21st and 22nd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at Bloom Resort Campground, located at 9537 Army Camp Road. Visitors can also take part in Sugar Shanty Tours at Williamson Farms, 7739 Lakeshore Road.
Guests can enjoy maple bush tours and hayrides, compliments of Williamson Farms. There will also be sugar shanty tours where visitors can learn how maple syrup is made and enjoy free samples.
A pancake breakfast will be served by the Ausable-Port Franks Optimist Club. The breakfast includes pancakes, sausages, and a beverage. Gluten-free options will be available. The cost is $12 for adults and $9 for children ages 4 to 10. Cash and debit will be accepted.
Organizers say the festival is a great way to celebrate maple syrup season and support local groups.
