The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is inviting families to take part in a free online session focused on student writing skills.
The live webinar will take place on March 26th and will be led by staff from the Education Quality and Accountability Office. The session will explain how EQAO assessments measure writing skills at different stages of a student’s education.
During the webinar, staff will go over examples of writing prompts and questions used in both elementary assessments and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. They will also explain how these questions help evaluate what students are learning in the classroom.
Parents and guardians will also be given tips and resources to help support their child’s learning at home.
The session is free to attend and will be held online through Zoom. Families can register using the link provided by the school board.
