A South Huron resident is facing several charges after a traffic stop in Lambton Shores.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police say the incident happened on March 22nd, just after 9 p.m. on Lakeshore Road near Army Camp Road in the Municipality of Lambton Shores. Police say the vehicle nearly hit a cruiser head-on before officers pulled it over.
Following an investigation, a 44-year-old from South Huron was arrested and charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, and dangerous driving.
Police also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Police say they continue to focus on removing impaired drivers from the roads and remind the public that no amount of alcohol or drugs is safe when driving. Anyone who suspects an impaired driver is asked to contact the OPP.
