A Bluewater resident is facing several charges after a traffic stop in the Municipality of Bluewater.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police say the stop happened on March 21st, just after 9 a.m. on Zurich-Hensall Road. Officers were conducting speed enforcement when they pulled over a vehicle for speeding.
Police say the driver was then arrested for impaired driving. A young child was inside the vehicle at the time.
The driver was taken to the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed results more than twice the legal limit.
A 38-year-old from Municipality of Bluewater has been charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving. Police also laid an additional charge under the Highway Traffic Act for operating an unsafe vehicle.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Goderich.
