UPDATE- 3:10pm
The Ontario Provincial Police is warning residents about an armed suspect who remains at large in Huron County.
Police say the incident began on April 2 around 11 a.m., when officers responded to a report of two people who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle near Main Street South and Wellington Street East in Exeter. The individuals fled the scene when first responders arrived.
Investigators say the suspects then approached a person, showed a firearm, and stole their vehicle. One suspect was later arrested without incident in South Huron, but the second suspect remains outstanding.
Police say the remaining suspect then stole a second vehicle from another victim in the Zurich area before fleeing again.
Officers are now searching for Kent Wall, a 38-year-old from South Bruce Township. He is described as a white male with a medium build, about 5’9” tall and 141 pounds, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a pierced left ear. He also has a tattoo of an AR-15 rifle with an anarchy symbol on his left arm.
Police believe he may be driving a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with Ontario licence plate 7714FX. He may be travelling between Wingham and Clinton, and could be in the Belgrave area.
Residents are urged not to approach the suspect or the vehicle. Anyone who sees the truck or has information is asked to call 911 right away. Information can also be reported to police at 1-888-310-1122.
