Canadians should see some relief at the gas pump this week.
This morning, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the government will suspend the federal gas excise tax starting next week, on April 20th, until September 7th.
The price in Canada has raised by more than 40 cents-per-litre in some regions since conflict between the US and Iran began in February.
According to the government, the tax suspension is expected to lower gas prices by 10 cents-per-litre, while diesel will drop about four cents.
