The clock is ticking for you to nominate hazardous roads as part of an annual campaign aimed at highlighting infrastructure concerns across the province.
The CAA South Central Ontario says nominations for its Worst Roads campaign close tonight at 11:59 p.m., urging drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to speak up about unsafe or deteriorating road conditions.
So far, more than 3,200 roads across 222 municipalities — roughly half of Ontario communities — have been submitted. That total is about 800 more than last year, reflecting ongoing concerns about potholes, sunken sewer grates, congestion, and inadequate cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.
CAA says the campaign gives residents a direct way to flag problem areas and push for infrastructure improvements.
The organization says the data helps identify trends in road safety concerns and highlights the impact poor infrastructure can have on drivers and communities.
