South Huron District High School is inviting the community to get involved in an Earth Week clean-up effort aimed at making a real difference locally.
The clean-up will run until April 26th, with a goal of covering 75 per cent of designated areas in the community. If that goal is reached, the entire school will earn a free lunch.
Community members can take part by choosing any area to clean at their convenience. Participants are also asked to log the area they cleaned using the online sign-up map, or add a new location if it is not already listed. This helps organizers track progress toward the overall goal.
Students say every bag of garbage collected brings them one step closer to success, while also helping keep the community clean and healthy.
Participants are encouraged to take photos of their clean-up efforts and share them using the hashtag #SHDCleanup2026, or send them by email to amanda.keller@ed.amdsb.ca.
Organizers say the initiative is a great way for residents to come together, show community pride, and support local students during Earth Week.
