The Municipality of Bluewater is planning its annual dredging work at Bayfield Harbour next month.
Officials say the project will take place from May 1st to May 10th at the harbour, located along Lake Huron at the mouth of the Bayfield River.
The work will involve removing about 1,000 cubic metres of material from the harbour using a barge excavator. The material will then be transported out of the river by truck.
The dredging is part of regular maintenance to help keep the harbour safe and accessible.
The project has been filed as a minor work under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act and has been posted to the federal online project registry.
Municipal officials say the work will take place near the foot of Long Hill Road in Bayfield.
