Families are invited to enjoy a fun and educational PA Day event as birds of prey return to the Lambton Heritage Museum this Friday.
Friday, the museum will host “Hoo Are You? Birds of Prey,” featuring live birds presented by Wild Ontario. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and gives visitors a chance to see these animals up close.
Guests will be able to meet the birds and speak with their handlers to learn more about how they live and the important role they play in Ontario’s environment.
Wild Ontario, based at the University of Guelph, works with birds that cannot be released back into the wild. Through programs like this, they help educate people and build a better understanding of local wildlife.
Museum staff say they are excited to welcome the group back after a very popular visit in the past. They say the program is a great way for people of all ages to learn more about birds of prey in a hands-on setting.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and $3 for children. Kids aged three and under can attend for free. More information is available on the Lambton Heritage Museum website.
