Families in Clinton will have a chance to enjoy a night full of games, music, and activities as the Family Dance and Play Festival returns for its second year.
Katrina Clarke, Executive Director of Role Response for Healthy Children, says they are excited to bring the community together again after a successful first year.
The festival is designed to give families a simple and fun night out.
This year, thanks to community sponsors, food will also be included with admission.
Tickets are available in advance on the organization’s website, but can also be purchased at the door. Pricing is set at $10 per adult and $5 per child, or $25 for a family of four.
Clarke says the idea behind the festival is to create a space where families can relax, play, and spend time together in a welcoming environment.
For Clarke, one of the highlights is seeing children enjoy the activities, especially face painting and dancing.
She also says one important feature returning this year is a quiet space, hosted by Community Living. The space is meant for families who may need a break from the noise and excitement of the main event.
Clarke adds that the festival is a simple way for families to come together, enjoy a meal, and make lasting memories.
The event takes place this Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the Libro Community Hall in Clinton.
