As part of its ongoing commitment to strong governance and local leadership, United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) is inviting applications to join its volunteer Board of Directors.
UWPH is committed to building a board reflecting the communities it serves. The organization is looking to include a broader range of perspectives including: people living and/or working in Huron County, people living and/or working in Perth County outside of Stratford, Black or racialized individuals, Indigenous peoples, individuals who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, and people with lived experience of homelessness or being under housed.
Experience in areas such as labour, agriculture, legal and finance is also an asset.
The board is responsible for ensuring United Way achieves its mission and strategic plan. Board members help guide the organization’s long-term direction and vision, monitor progress on strategic priorities, oversee the organization’s financial health, identify and help mitigate risks, and ensure action is taken on UWPH’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
