Twenty-three players will wear the maple leaf and represent Canada at the 2026 World Hockey Championship in Switzerland, including one very familiar face from Huron County.
Clinton native Ryan O’Reilly has been named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2026 World Hockey Championship in Switzerland, and will wear the ‘A; for the team.
O’Reilly is one of 23 players selected to represent Canada at the tournament. The veteran forward is coming off another strong NHL season with the Nashville Predators, recording 74 points in 81 games.
Canada will be looking for a stronger finish this year after placing fifth at last year’s championship. O’Reilly and Macklin Celebrini are the only returning players from last year’s roster.
The Tournament kicks off on May 15th. Canada will take on Sweden at 10:20am our time.
