The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is celebrating the success of its students following this year’s Skills Ontario Competition at the Toronto Congress Centre.
Students from across the board competed against top talent from around the province and earned several medal finishes in skilled trades and technology events.
A student from St. Michael Catholic Secondary School won a gold medal in Aesthetics, while a team from Sacred Heart Catholic School captured gold in the Construction category for their model-house project.
Students from St. Joseph’s Catholic School also had a strong showing, earning bronze medals in both Mechanical Engineering and Landscaping.
The Landscaping category was offered for elementary students for the first time this year, making the medal win especially meaningful.
School board officials say the competition helps students build teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills while exploring future careers in skilled trades, engineering, and technology.
