Officers warn that driving golf carts on public roads can create safety concerns for drivers, pedestrians, and riders.
Constable Jeanine Robertson says road rules are in place for a reason.
The OPP says residents can expect to see an increased police presence in affected areas as officers continue education and enforcement efforts related to the improper use of golf carts.
Police add that fines may be issued to anyone caught operating a golf cart unlawfully on public roadways.
