An 18-year-old from Lasalle is facing several charges after police responded to a traffic complaint in Grand Bend.
Lambton County OPP say officers received a report of a possible impaired driver around 5:20 p.m. on May 16th. Police later located the vehicle on Ontario Street South and conducted a traffic stop.
Following the investigation, the driver was charged with impaired operation by alcohol and drugs, impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and driving as a novice driver with alcohol in their system.
The accused also faces charges related to having open liquor and open cannabis containers in the vehicle.
Lambton OPP thanked the member of the public who reported the suspected impaired driver, saying quick action from residents helps keep local roads safe.
