A traffic stop in Municipality of Lambton Shores has led to cannabis-related charges against an Ancaster resident.
Ontario Provincial Police say an officer with Lambton County OPP received an Automated Licence Plate Recognition alert shortly after 11 a.m. on May 15th involving a vehicle travelling on Nauvoo Road near Brickyard Line.
Police stopped the vehicle on Rawlings Road near Townsend Line. During the investigation, officers discovered the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Police say a search of the vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cannabis.
As a result, a 65-year-old person from Ancaster has been charged with distributing more than 30 grams of dried cannabis and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
