Ontario Provincial Police continue to search for one person who remains missing following a water emergency at Pinery Provincial Park earlier this week.
Emergency crews responded to the incident on May 18th at around 3 p.m. after a raft carrying five people got into trouble in Lake Huron. Police say four people were able to safely reach shore and were not injured. One person remains unaccounted for.
Lambton OPP, Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services, Lambton County EMS, OPP Aviation Services, the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre continue coordinated search efforts in the area.
Police say there are limited updates available at this time as the search and investigation continue.
The OPP says the incident has affected the people involved, their families, first responders, and the wider community, and thanked the public for its patience and support.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Lambton OPP or Crime Stoppers.
