The Ontario Provincial Police is reminding the public never to leave pets or people in hot vehicles as temperatures rise.

Even on relatively mild days, the temperature inside a car can rise rapidly, creating life-threatening conditions in a matter of minutes.
Residents are urged to take precautions and ensure animals, children, older adults, or individuals mobility or medical challenges are not left unattended in vehicles.
