The Municipality of Bluewater is asking for public feedback as it moves forward with plans to extend Bachand Street and build a new stormwater outlet.
The project is part of the Gendron Street and Bachand Street assumption process and is currently going through a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment.
The proposed road extension would see Bachand Street extended west and then north to connect with Gendron Street. The project also includes plans for a new stormwater outlet to the Fourcier Drain.
Municipal officials say the environmental assessment is required before construction can begin because the project involves building a new road in an unopened road allowance.
The assessment will help identify any possible environmental impacts and determine how those impacts can be reduced or managed.
Residents are invited to attend a public meeting to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and provide feedback to the project team.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, June 16th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the project site.
The municipality says a full notice and map showing the meeting location are available online for anyone interested in attending.
