Residents are invited to celebrate a new accessible addition at Ball’s Bridge.
The Municipality of Central Huron will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 12th at 5 p.m. to officially open a new accessible kayak launch and accessible pathways at the popular outdoor destination located at 38199 Little Lakes Road in Goderich.
The project creates a barrier-free connection between the bridge, picnic area, and water’s edge, making it easier for people of all abilities to enjoy the natural space.
The project builds on Central Huron’s ongoing efforts to improve accessibility, including its goal of creating Ontario’s first accessible downtown in Clinton.
The celebration will include brief remarks, recognition of project partners, and an opportunity for attendees to try out the new kayak launch. A limited number of kayaks will be available for participants to use.
