Public transit users in Thedford will soon have more convenient access to bus service.
Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) has announced two new bus stops will be added in downtown Thedford beginning July 1st.
The new stops were created in response to requests from residents who found it difficult to walk to the current stop at The Legacy Centre. The additional locations will improve access for people living near Country Manor Estates Retirement Home and nearby apartment buildings.
The new stops will be located at the Thedford Village Complex for trips heading toward Grand Bend and at 119 Main Street, next to the Beer ‘N More Convenience Store, for trips heading toward Sarnia.
The existing stop at The Legacy Centre will remain in service.
HSAT says the changes will make Route 1 service between Sarnia and Grand Bend more accessible and convenient for local residents. Updated schedules and route information are available through Huron Shores Area Transit.
