Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Insurance Company is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as the company marks 150 years of serving the community.
The company will host a special anniversary celebration on June 23rd, recognizing a history that dates back to the 1800s
President and CEO Shelagh Cleary says reaching 150 years is an achievement made possible by the company’s policyholders.
Cleary gave myFM a little history about the business.
While Usborne & Hibbert Mutual began as a farm insurance provider and continues to focus primarily on agricultural coverage, the company has expanded over the years to offer residential, commercial, and auto insurance as well.
The anniversary event will feature a community barbecue catered by Three Jays, live music, an ice cream truck, and a display of historical archives showcasing the company’s journey from its founding to the present day.
Cleary says the celebration is both a chance to look back on the company’s history and an opportunity to thank the policyholders and community members who have supported the mutual insurance company for generations.
She adds that few organizations reach the 150-year mark, making the anniversary a significant milestone for both the company and the communities it serves.
