The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has approved a balanced budget for the 2026-27 school year.
School boards across Ontario are required to prepare and approve balanced budgets each year before the June 30th deadline. The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board says its latest budget meets all provincial requirements and remains in compliance with Ministry of Education regulations.
Board officials say the budget supports priorities outlined in the board’s 2024-2027 strategic plan, including Catholic faith development, student achievement, experiential learning opportunities, and improved student engagement and attendance.
The budget also continues to focus on literacy and mathematics, while helping students prepare for post-secondary education, skilled trades, and other future career pathways.
For the upcoming school year, the board projects enrolment of 3,392 elementary students and 1,330 secondary students. Total revenue and expenditures are both budgeted at just over $87.8 million.
The full 2026-27 budget package is available through the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board website.
