A local community organization is being recognized for its ongoing work helping people in need.
A.B.A.T.E. has been named the myFM Community Partner for the month of July, an honour that Promotional Representative for Southwestern Ontario Claude Jones says reflects the group’s commitment to giving back.
Jones says the recognition shows the community appreciates the work A.B.A.T.E. members do to support local charities and people facing difficult circumstances.
While many people know A.B.A.T.E. as a motorcycle organization, Jones says the group is focused on much more than riding.
He says helping others is at the heart of what the organization does, and members are proud to give back to their own communities.
Although the group’s biggest local fundraiser, the Tour of Duty, has already taken place this year, members continue to support events hosted by other A.B.A.T.E. chapters across Ontario.
Anyone interested in learning more about A.B.A.T.E. or getting involved can visit the organization’s Facebook page. Jones says the page includes information about local chapters, upcoming rides, and community events happening across the province.
