A Clinton man is facing charges after a mischief investigation in Grand Bend over the weekend.
Members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police were called to a business on Main Street West at about 10:54 p.m. on July 4th after receiving a report of property damage.
Police say an individual damaged two parking gates before leaving the area. Officers searched the area and located the suspect a short time later.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Clinton has been charged with mischief for damaging property and being intoxicated in a public place.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
The Lambton County OPP is reminding residents that acts of vandalism can be costly for businesses and property owners and may affect the safety and accessibility of public spaces. Anyone who witnesses suspicious or criminal activity is encouraged to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
