Hundreds of Corvette enthusiasts gathered in Bayfield this past weekend for the 18th annual Bayfield Vette Fest, one of the largest Corvette shows in Canada.
Co-organizer Elaine Coombs has helped organize the event for the past 10 to 12 years. She told myFM how the beloved event came to be.
While the event celebrates Corvettes, it also raises money for local charities.
Coombs says keeping the money in the local community is an important part of the event.
Coombs says this year’s turnout has been one of the biggest yet, with visitors travelling from across Ontario and beyond.
The weekend included a Corvette cruise, while Saturday featured more than 500 Corvettes on display throughout Bayfield.
Coombs say the event continues to grow each year while bringing visitors to Bayfield and raising money for local causes.
