A 38-year-old Toronto resident is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Grand Bend.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Lambton County Detachment say an officer conducting routine patrol stopped a vehicle on Main Street East shortly after 7:30 p.m. on July 5th.
Following the investigation, a resident of Toronto was charged with impaired operation by alcohol and drugs, impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, dangerous operation, and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
Police also issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for seven days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
Lambton County OPP is reminding drivers that alcohol and drugs can impair driving ability and that no amount is considered safe before getting behind the wheel.
