Fire crews responded to a barn fire on Union Line, just south of Thames Road, this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the property around 1:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a barn on fire. When firefighters arrived, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.
South Huron Fire Chief Jeremy Becker told myFM the barn was completely destroyed and crews are allowing the remaining structure to smoulder out.
No animals were inside the barn at the time of the fire. However, equipment stored inside was destroyed.
Union Line was temporarily closed while firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, but the road has since reopened.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
