Construction continues on Main Street in Exeter as work moves into the next phase.
The Municipality of South Huron says crews completed road work on the west side of Main Street last week, including excavation and installing the granular road base.
This week, crews will begin installing new concrete curbs on the west side of the road.
One northbound lane on Main Street will remain open. Southbound traffic will continue to be detoured using Church Street and William Street until work on the west side is finished.
The municipality says businesses remain open during construction, and access to homes and businesses will be maintained whenever possible.
Drivers are reminded to expect delays, follow posted detours, and allow extra travel time while construction continues.
