From Jessica's House Website
Jessica’s House Hospice is bringing back a special walking group this summer to support people who are grieving.
The Morning Walking Group begins on July 16th and will meet every week until the end of September. Walks start at 10 a.m. and last about one hour.
Grace Gough, Coordinator of Volunteers and Bereavement Services at Jessica’s House Hospice, told myFM about the event.
The group encourages participants to spend time in nature, reflect quietly, and connect with others who understand the experience of grief.
Gough says the program has been offered in previous years and is returning for anouther year.
She says grief is something many people experience, but it can feel less overwhelming when people know they do not have to face it alone. The walking group offers a more relaxed and less intimidating option for those who may not feel comfortable in a traditional support group setting.
Registration is required for the program. Anyone interested in joining the Morning Walking Group can find contact information and registration details on the Jessica’s House Hospice website.
