With the Grand Bend bridge now reopened, traffic and foot traffic are back to normal just in time for the busy summer season.
Shannon from Culture Shock Kombucha, a locally owned business celebrating its 10th summer on the Grand Bend Strip, says the bridge closure had less of an impact than many expected.
She says the construction crews did a great job by pausing work during the busy summer months and reopening the bridge before the Canada Day weekend.
Shannon also thanked the construction crews for continuing their work through difficult weather conditions.
While she says parking on the main street is something she’d like to see improved in the future, she encourages everyone to continue supporting local businesses during construction projects.
She says getting to Grand Bend has been easy, even with the temporary traffic lights, and hopes people continue to visit and shop local throughout the summer.
