Moffatt & Powell RONA is celebrating its 70th anniversary by giving back to the community with a special charity golf tournament.
The 70th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament will take place on Wednesday, July 22nd, at Widder Station Golf Club in Thedford. The event will feature nine holes of golf with a cart, lunch, a steak dinner, a silent auction, music, and opportunities to network with other community members.
Sponsorship Coordinator and one of the tournament organizers, Lexi Harney says all proceeds from this year’s event will support a very special cause.
Registration to join the tournament is still open. Tickets are $250 plus tax per person and include golf, meals, swag, and entry into on-course games.
Golfers will also have a chance to win several prizes, including a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, and putting contest competitions. Additional prizes and auction items have been donated by local sponsors.
Harney says Moffatt & Powell has a big fundraising goal in mind, and they can’t reach it with out the help of the community.
People who cannot attend the tournament can still support the fundraiser by purchasing the special $15 plush bears available at Moffatt & Powell stores, buying select in-store products that support the campaign, or making a donation through the fundraiser.
Anyone interested in registering for the tournament can visit any Moffatt & Powell RONA location, email aharney@moffattandpowell.com, or visit the company’s social media pages for more information.
The tournament will be held rain or shine, and organizers are looking forward to a fun day of golf while raising money for a great cause.
