The Grand Bend and Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting golfers of all skill levels to take part in its 15th annual fundraising golf tournament this September.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, at Widder Station Golf Club in Thedford. General Manager of the Grand Bend Chamber, Nicola Harney says the tournament begins with a 1 p.m.
Registration is now open. Teams of four can register for $600, or individual golfers can sign up for $150 each. Organizers ask participants to register at least five days before the tournament.
Anyone interested in taking part can contact the Grand Bend and Area Chamber of Commerce by email or phone to register.
Harney says the event raises money to support as very special cause in Grand Bend.
She says the visitors centre is such a big part of the community.
Harney says the event is also a great opportunity for local business owners to network while enjoying a fun day on the course.
Harney says you don’t have to be a chamber member to take part in the golf tournament. Everyone is welcome to attend and she hopes the community will come out to enjoy the tournament while supporting local tourism and small businesses.
