U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening 50 per cent tariffs on nearly $20 billion US worth of Canadian exports as pressure builds ahead of CUSMA trade talks.
The tariffs would target hundreds of products, including wine, whisky, dairy goods and hockey equipment.
Trade experts say Canada should respond carefully while negotiations continue before the Aug. 19 deadline.
