The Huron Chamber of Commerce is making it easier for people to recognize great local businesses with a new program called Huron Accolades.
Executive Director Colin Carmichael says the online program lets anyone share a positive experience with a business anywhere in Huron County.
People simply visit HuronAccolades.ca, enter the name of the business and write a few sentences about why they deserve recognition.
Carmichael explains why the change has been made.
He says the goal is to celebrate local businesses year-round and remind owners that their hard work is appreciated. He adds that even a few kind words from a customer can make a big difference to a small business owner.
Residents and visitors can submit an accolade anytime by visiting HuronAccolades.ca. The program is open to all businesses in Huron County, not just Chamber members.
